Linda M. Payne is a senior associate with New Jersey Family Law Group. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in History from Rutgers University – New Brunswick in 2005. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School – Camden in 2014.
While in law school, Ms. Payne focused on the area of Family Law. She served as Student Director of the Rutgers Law Domestic Violence Project and interned for the Civil Practice Clinic representing low-income litigants in Family Part matters. She also became certified in Family Mediation. Ms. Payne was awarded both the Pro Bono Publico Award for Significant Service and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers – New Jersey Chapter Award for demonstrating exceptional scholarship and interest in the field of Family Law.
Following graduation, Ms. Payne was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2014 and to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2017. She gained valuable experience serving as law clerk to the Honorable Harold U. Johnson, Jr., P.J.F.P. of Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties. From there, Ms. Payne practiced with a boutique family law firm, followed by the family law department of a large firm before joining the team at Stolfe Zeigler in 2020.

She is especially proud of her contribution to the Appellate Division’s opinion in Gormley v. Gormley, 462 N.J. Super. 433 (App. Div. 2019).
Ms. Payne is truly passionate about Family Law and helping not just her clients, but their families as a whole. She enjoys approaching cases with a uniquely affable attention to detail that helps guide clients through a confusing and often painful process.
